FLU-TOX

Day 5. I wanted a breakfast sandwich this am but didn't have time (insert heavily kale'd and chewable smoothie here! And yes, I know...no more this week!). So, instead, I had this sandwich "stack" for lunch. Applegate Sunday Bacon on an organic fried egg (fried in ghee), micro greens, and sweet potato hash brown. The salad has mixed garden greens, a strawberry, kiwi, and slivered almonds w a little balsamic and evoo.

Dinner: Leftovers! Finishing up the chicken and skirt steak tonight. Added roasted pasilla peppers, a little guacamole (just avo, salt, & lime), and a raw salsa (tomato, garlic, red onion, radish, cilantro, & lime). This hit the spot.
Going to bed early. Damn you flu-tox. I feel exhausted, have a royal headache, and am a achy. Apparently, when we cut out specific foods such as sugar and grains from our diet, it is completely normal to experience withdrawal symptoms - this is our body's way of responding to the elimination of all the toxic build-up that has accumulated. I guess my toxins finally decided to rear their ugly heads. Woah! Not fun. Somehow, because I had been feeling so good, I thought I was one of the lucky ones who wasn't going to get it but - BAM! It snuck up and nabbed me on the butt. xoxo, Grumpy Girl
