WHAT'S IN YOUR FRIDGE?

I’ve always gotten a kick out of beauty bloggers' 'What's in Your Bag?' posts. The contents and organization of someone's purse can reveal a lot about them and their personalities. Plus, it's handy to see which new cosmetics are popular, which other little trinkets are 'must haves', and which new tech accessories will keep me up-to-date.

Similarly, I began to wonder if a 'What's in Your Fridge' post could be as equally revealing or inspiring. I'm one of those people who will always help clean up after a dinner party. Organization is cathartic but it's also a secret cover-up. I'm actually dying to get a sneak-peak into your refrigerator. Snoops R Us. I own it. I might find something new to try, a must-have that I haven't tapped into before, or even a new organizational idea. Research? Sure. But honestly, it's just fun.

Before sharing anyone else's refrigerator, I felt it only fair to post my own. Here you go. It's not a full-fledged makeover story, but it is a work in progress. For my family, I couldn't just empty its contents and start fresh. Just. Not. Realistic. They are not 100% on board yet. As you can see, there are few obvious offenders: milk, raspberry preserves, Heinz ketchup, bacon, cheese & lunch meat hiding in the drawer that isn't open, A-1 steak sauce, mayo, Hersey's chocolate syrup and the like. I'm sure you can spot a few others! That said, I am making a point to add better choices each time I'm at the store. Baby steps! As the aforementioned products are used up, we will hopefully have found better/healthier options. Except for the Hersey's syrup. My 10-yr old said that was a deal breaker. #pickingmybattles

By the way, the OXO Greensavers on the third and fourth shelves are new and have been somewhat of a revelation. These little nifty white containers help to aid airflow and prevent decay of fruit and produce. Since my crisper drawers are always jammed, these have been very smart purchases. Buy or review via Amazon here or at Sur La Table here.
